Dominoes is a board game that uses pieces with rectangular shapes, normally endowed with a thickness that gives them the shape of a parallelepiped, in which one of the sides is marked by dots indicating numerical values. The term is also used to individually designate the pieces that make up this game. The name probably derives from the Latin expression “domino gratias” (“thanks to the Lord”), spoken by European priests to mark victory in a game.
